What are the requirements to become a caregiver at Cattleya Haven Homecare?
To join our team, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old (Illinois state minimum age requirement for caregivers).
- Have a valid CPR/First Aid certification.
- Pass a background check and reference verification.
- Have relevant caregiving experience or certifications (preferred but not always required).
- Possess a valid ID and work authorization (if applicable).
Do I need previous caregiving experience to apply?
While experience is preferred, it is not always required. If you are compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn, we provide training to help you develop the necessary skills.
Do you provide training for new caregivers?
Yes! We provide training and onboarding to ensure you are prepared for your role. Training may include:
- Client care procedures.
- Safety protocols.
- Communication skills.
- Emergency response training.

What is the hiring process like?
Our hiring process is simple and efficient:
Step 1: Apply online & schedule a phone screening.
Step 2: Submit documents & schedule a final interview.
Step 3: Complete training & start working with us!
If you pass each step, you will receive an official job offer and begin onboarding.
How flexible is the work schedule?
We offer flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability. You can choose:
✔ Full-time or part-time shifts.
✔ Day, evening, or overnight shifts.
✔ Weekday or weekend availability.
We try our best to match your preferred schedule while meeting client needs.
How often do caregivers get paid?
Caregivers are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit.
Do I need to provide my own transportation?
Depending on the client, some caregivers may need to travel to client homes. If transportation is required, we will discuss it with you before assigning a case.
Do you offer support for caregivers?
Absolutely! We value our caregivers and provide:

What happens if I have an issue with a client?
If you ever have concerns about a client or caregiving situation, please report it immediately to our office or your care coordinator. We will provide support and guidance to resolve the issue.
